Aion 2 Founder's Pack: Every Tier Compared, and Whether It's Worth It
There are three tiers — Standard $24.99, Deluxe $49.99 and Ultimate $99.99 — and you can buy only one per account. Every tier includes the same 5 days of advance access (September 30 to October 4) and the same 30-day Membership. Everything the expensive tiers add is cosmetic.
That single sentence is the whole decision. If you want in on September 30, Standard is the ticket. If you don't, buy nothing — Aion 2 is free-to-play and a pack is not required to play.
What each tier costs and contains

The packs went on sale on July 22, 2026, and the store page states the offer in one line: Advance Access Starts 30 Sep. They do not stack, and there is no upgrade path from one tier to another — whichever you buy is the one you have.
The part nobody prices in: the Membership
Every tier carries a 30-day Membership — the same subscription that otherwise runs about $15 a month. Its listed perks are remote storage, market interaction, and a higher reward-selection count in dungeons, and NCSoft's own business-model notice says the Membership is what unlocks the Market and the currency exchange.
Do that arithmetic before you look at the cosmetics: a standalone month of Membership is roughly $15, so the $24.99 Standard pack is effectively around $10 for the head start, the starter chest and the title. No other tier improves on that, because none of them give you more access time or a longer Membership.
Why the expensive tiers are not a shortcut
Paying $99.99 does not get you in earlier. It does not lengthen the Membership. It does not add power. The gap between Standard and Ultimate is four cosmetic items and a chest.
That's worth stating plainly because launch-window store pages are designed to make the middle tier look like the sensible one. Here the sensible one is the cheapest, and the honest alternative is nothing at all.
The caveat that argues against overpaying
Players who spent time in the Korean version point out that much of Aion 2's progression is gated behind weekly resets rather than raw daily grinding. If that carries to the global build, what a five-day head start actually buys you depends on how many weekly cycles it spans — and if the reset lands early in that window, the lead may be thinner than five days sounds.
Being straight about the status of this: NCSoft has not published the global weekly-reset schedule. This is a community caveat drawn from the Korean version, not a confirmed global detail. It is still the best argument for not overpaying.
Is any of this pay-to-win?
The packs themselves, no. Their non-cosmetic contents are early access and a subscription that free players can buy month to month, and neither is a power boost.
The wider picture is less clean, and it's separate from the packs: NCSoft states the cash shop is cosmetics and consumables only and that purchases don't affect gear progression or long-term power. Critics point out that crafted gear is tradable on the Market and that the premium currency converts into the earned one, so money can influence a character indirectly even though no stat boost is sold outright. That's NCSoft's claim versus an untested outcome — worth knowing, but not a reason to buy a more expensive Founder's Pack.
So which one
- Want in on September 30 with minimal fuss? Standard, $24.99. It has the full head start and the full Membership month.
- Want the launch-exclusive look? Deluxe, $49.99 — you're buying an outfit and a weapon appearance, nothing more.
- Collector who wants the wings and the pet? Ultimate, $99.99, knowing the extra $50 over Deluxe is entirely vanity.
- Happy to start October 5 with everyone else? Buy nothing. There's no penalty beyond a busier launch-day server.
